Privacy Policy

FriendPet (https://friendpet.kwverdit.com) is a webpage desktop-pet experience delivered as a Chrome extension, with an optional website account for billing. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the extension, API, and marketing site.

What FriendPet does

FriendPet helps you try built-in demo pets or create an animated companion from a pet photo, then display it on webpages in Chrome for local roaming, speech bubbles, and simple interaction. Generation starts only when you upload a photo or request an action. FriendPet does not post, submit forms, or send messages for you.

Chrome extension permissions

The extension requests only the permissions needed for pet display and local storage:

  • storage / unlimitedStorage — save settings, enabled-pet state, job progress, and user-generated pet packs (frames and metadata) on your device.
  • tabs — notify open tabs when you enable, switch, or update a pet so the overlay can appear or reload.
  • scripting — inject the content script so the pet can render on the active page after you enable it. The script draws the overlay and handles local interaction; it does not scrape page content for advertising.
  • Local development may use localhost API hosts for generation against a local Task API.
  • Website Google sign-in (when you use account/billing features) is handled on the marketing site via a secure OAuth flow — not required to try demo pets in the extension.
  • host_permissions (<all_urls>) — allow the pet overlay on sites you visit after you enable it. Domains cannot be listed in advance. Host access is for displaying the pet, not for reading page content for marketing.

Account and billing data (website)

  • If you sign in on the website: email and auth identifiers from Google (via Supabase Auth).
  • Credit balance, subscription status, and credit transaction history on our servers when billing is enabled.
  • Payment and invoice metadata from Creem (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Generation job metadata needed to run and bill create/action jobs (for example job type and status).
  • Support emails you send to us, including any details you choose to include.

Data stored locally in your browser

The extension keeps configuration, enabled-pet state, action/phrase preferences, job progress, and pet packs (frame images and metadata) in local extension storage so you can close the popup and continue later.

AI / cloud generation

When you start a create or action job, the photo (and related generation inputs) are sent to our generation pipeline to produce animation frames and metadata. We do not use your uploads to auto-post or to scrape unrelated browsing history.

Website analytics

The marketing site (https://friendpet.kwverdit.com) uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity in production to understand visits. These are not embedded in the Chrome extension package.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not auto-submit posts, comments, or emails on your behalf.
  • We do not collect passwords for third-party sites.
  • We do not scrape arbitrary page text for advertising or unrelated analytics.
  • We do not use your pet photos to train public models for unrelated products without a clear separate notice.
  • We do not embed website analytics SDKs (such as GA or Clarity) inside the Chrome extension.

Retention and deletion

Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and as required for payments and compliance. Local pet packs remain on your device until you remove the extension or clear extension data. Email support@kwverdit.com to request account deletion.

Third-party services

  • Supabase — authentication and account database (website accounts).
  • Creem — subscription and one-time credit pack payments (website).
  • Cloud generation providers — image/animation processing for create and action jobs you start.
  • Google — OAuth sign-in on the website and (on the website) analytics.
  • Microsoft Clarity — website session analytics (production site only).
  • Vercel — hosting for the website and API infrastructure.

Your choices

You can try built-in demo pets without creating a website account. Photo generation and website billing features require the flows described above. You may remove the extension at any time to clear local data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our product or legal requirements change. The date at the top will be revised when we do.
